Anytime between 11 pm and 12 midnight and I waking up between 4:30 and 5:30 am. But like my cat I can be woken up by the slightest noise or movement.
This Tommy; one moment is totally asleep, the other is up at the sound of cutlery or smell of food. I seem to behave like him when it comes to sleep.
Sometimes I have woken up at 2 am and completely lost my sleep till the break of day. And if I have a nagging thought, I am likely to wake up by 3 am, and on such a day I will be in bed by or before 10 pm.
A nagging thought or something that I want urgently done, seems to keep me twisting and turning in my sleep and eventually wakes me up, only to drain the energy out of me. I have learnt how to put to good use such moments, pray, study, blog or listen to timed music or radio, for it’s bound to get me back to my sleep.
The other thing is that, if I went to bed earlier than usual, I am likely to wake up earlier than usual, like 2:30 or 3 am. Therefore, I try as much as possible to maintain bedtime, to wake up at the desired time.
